Passfilt Pro is a system level DLL that allows you to enforce strong network passwords on your Windows domains. Passfilt Pro allows you to specify a minimum or maximum number of each character type that must appear in the password. The character types filtered are numeric, lower case, upper case, alpha and non-alphanumeric characters. Passfilt Pro can also check for consecutive identical characters, the username within the password, and any part of the full name within the password. Passfilt Pro includes a dictionary check feature and a customizable plain text dictionary. When enabled, the dictionary check compares the user password to over 250,000 words in less than 400 milliseconds. Passfilt Pro has no services to load and no agents to deploy. You simply load the DLL on all domain controllers. Passfilt Pro is configured by a Group Policy template on Windows 2000 or an initialization file on Windows NT 4.
