IISGate is high-performance Web-site authentication, password protection, and access management for Microsoft Internet Information Servers 4 and 5. IISGate features user validation through standard Windows-based basic authentication; custom Web-based cookie authentication; and client IP addresses. It is independent of standard NT users and security and uses its own user/security database. You can configure access restrictions to the directory level and all subdirectories and files within it. The program offers personalized user redirection following authentication, as well as attack protection, wherein the client is not authenticated after x number of bad logins in x seconds are blocked for x minutes. It's easy to use and does not require programming, scripting, or Web-development experience. It can administer software on the computer where IISGate is located or on others on your LAN. It also can organize users into groups, log in to the Windows NT/2000 event log or standard text file, set a user account expiration date, or disable a user account manually with a simple selection.
