Guardian 6.3.1

Connecting a computer to the M?rklin digital system will make controlling a model railway much more dynamic than is traditionally possible. Mostly because the computer doesn't only pass on manual commands to the M?rklin interface, but can also send a series of preprogrammed commands. The commands the computer sends can be related to events triggered on the railway through the use of M?rklin S88 modules, which can be activated through trains, other moving objects (e.g. Faller model cars, etc.) or by hand. The possibilities of the computer controlled railway open a world of new possibilities which is only limited by your own imagination. To make optimal use of these possibilities you need a tool to create and execute a predefined set of commands. You might construct a program in a higher programming language such as Pascal or Basic, but this will take up a lot of time and requires a thorough knowledge of one of these languages. Apart from that a new program needs to be created for each different flow of events. Guardian provides you with a standard interface to the Marklin digital system.

Guardian allows the complete model railway to be controlled by hand and also to construct as many different programs as you wish with which control is automated. Programs are created using specific commands which are easy to use and easily readable. Many different programs can be created and by only loading a different one a whole different flow of events can be introduced. Finally Guardian offers the possibility of storing train data of each train in a database which is shared by different modules.
