This program recovers (decrypts) files encrypted on NTFS (EFS) partitions created in Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003. Files can be decrypted even when the system is not bootable and you can't log on, or when some encryption keys (private or master) have been tampered with. Decryption also is possible even when Windows is protected using the syskey. AEFSDR effectively (and instantly) decrypts the files protected under all versions of Windows Server 2003 (Standard and Enterprise), XP (including Service Pack 1), and 2000 (including Service Packs 1, 2, 3 and 4). Version 2.1 fixes a few bugs, allows you to add passwords from the dictionary, works with passwords containing control characters, and includes a few other enhancements.
